The English Whisky Co. bottles this expression annually for Remembrance Day, with a small donation to the Poppy Appeal. This is very much in the classic house style of the English Whisky Distillery – you’ll find an oaky, soft nose, a distinctly rich palate with hints of bonfire smoke, and a slight sweetness on the finish.

Based out of the first new distillery in England for over a century, the English Whisky Co. has captured the attention of whisky lovers worldwide with its wide range of single malts proudly distilled in Norfolk, as well as the delicious ‘The Norfolk’ range of liqueurs. Its current core whisky range includes, unusually for English whisky, a peated single malt, as well as more classically styled sherry- and bourbon-matured bottles. The Small Batch Lest We Forget malt whisky is a limited-release expression, bottled once a year for Remembrance Day.
The oak cask maturation imparts a smooth, creamy mouthfeel to the whisky, while the flavours are dominated by lingering vanilla, pine and a slight dried fruit sweetness, along with distant bonfire smoke. This is the perfect dram to raise in honour of those who bravely fought for our freedom, in the knowledge that £2 per bottle sold is donated to the Poppy Appeal charity.
