Fuji Gotemba Distillery was established in 1973 by Kirin, in partnership with Seagram’s and Chivas Brothers, to create world-class whisky in an environment mirroring the climate of Scotland. Located 620 metres above sea level, its cool, humid conditions and pure mountain spring water contribute to the whisky’s signature clarity and balance. With a unique blend of Scottish, Canadian, and American whisky-making influences.
Produced in Japan's Fuji Gotemba distillery, this Single Malt Whisky is a testament to the distillery's commitment to quality. As a nod to the origins of whisky production, it is crafted using traditional Scotch whisky distillation methods, the spirit is aged in oak barrels, giving it depth and complexity. The key flavours include notes of ripe apples, vanilla and a hint of smoke, reflecting the unique characteristics of its environment. The finish is smooth with a subtle spice kick. Best savoured neat, or with a drop of water to open up the flavours. This Japanese whisky showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of the Fuji Gotemba distillers.
