One of the UK's finest finest and most awarded wineries, Gusborne make wine excusively from their own vineyards. their Rose is a dry traditional method sparkling wine made from a classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes, aged for at least 3 years before release. Delicate aromas of ripe wild strawberries and hedgerow fruits, creamy texture and crisp, dry finish.

Gusbourne has a strong claim to be the producer of the UK’s highest quality sparkling wines, and is certainly one of the most widely awarded wineries in the country
They grow Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes predominantly Burgundian clones, across the Gusbourne Estate, with 60 hectares in Appledore, Kent and 30 hectares next to the Goodwood Estate in West Sussex. These clones yield smaller volumes of intensely flavourful fruit. The sparkling wines are all made via the traditional method and their debut vintages – Brut Reserve 2006 and Blanc de Blancs 2006 – were released in 2010 to critical acclaim and today Gusbourne is the only three-time winner of the IWSC English Wine Producer of the Year.
Alongside superb fizz they make some of the UK’s best still Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which could pass for top quality Burgundy
54% Chardonnay, 36% Pinot Noir, 10% Pinot Meunier. 10g/l residual sugar, Whole bunch pressed and naturally settled for 12-24 hours. 10 days fermantation at 18-20 degrees C using specialist sparkling wine yeast. Primary fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks with a small percent of barrel-aged red wine blended before secondary fermentation. Minimum of 36 months lees ageing.
