Heggies Vineyard is the sort of place where a person would sit on their horse in silence at sunset and marvel at the ways of nature. Perched in the high country of Eden Valley, where the cool climate and high altitude produces some of Australia’s finest Chardonnay. Fermented and matured for 11 months in 35% new French oak, with flavours of nectarine and peach, with a creamy texture and refreshing citrus acidity to finish.

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £120 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.

If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us.

Description

The first of the vines were planted in 1973 and more than 40 years later, the Heggies Vineyard team still feels right at home at the family-owned, single site vineyard. Heggies Vineyard whites have long been synonymous with quality, wonderful flavour intensity, minerality and finesse. Whether consumed at a top-notch restaurant or the local watering hole, they can always be counted on, much like a great mate (or horse). There’s no place like Heggies.

About the Producer

Heggies Vineyard is perched in the high country of Eden Valley where the combination of cool climate and high altitude provide the perfect conditions for producing some of Australia’s finest Chardonnay. The majority of the estate is comprised of three favoured Burgundian clones providing a range of flavour opportunities. Fruit for this wine is selected from the older blocks on the estate which yield low crops and consistently produce Chardonnay of outstanding flavour intensity.

Fermented and matured for 11 months in new French oak barriques (28%), balance in one year and older French oak barriques.

Tasting Notes

Flavours of freshly picked peaches and nectarines are complemented by a fine, creamy texture on the mid-palate, distinct and lively minerality with refreshing citrus acidity to finish. Enjoy with pan seared crispy skin salmon and citrus hollandaise sauce or tofu scramble with grilled asparagus.
