Based in Tasmania, they work with a range of vineyards across 6 regions of this cool climate island to produce exceptional traditional method sparkling wines, distinguished by their long lees ageing.
Ed is widely regarded as a legend of the sparkling wine world, held in the highest regard in both Australia and Europe, and in 2024 was crowned as Sparkling Winemaker of the Year by the International Wine Challenge and the Chairman’s Trophy at the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships (CSWWC).
The A by Arras is a blend of 48 % Pinot Noir 34% Chardonnay and 18% Pinot Meunier, which spends 30 months on lees with 4 g/l dosage
Medium straw in colour with a bright gold hue, the wine has a crystal clear appearance with a fine and persistent bead. The palate has opulent flavours reminiscent of nectarine, butter sautéed mushroom, natural yoghurt and fresh oyster.
