Description

KAZE meaning “WIND” is a versatile, modern interpretation within the ultra-premium junmai ginjo categorisation, made with Yamada Nishiki - known as the ‘king’ of sake rice - grown in the iconic Hyogo Prefecture. Using only the best ingredients, KAZE is a small batch sake made entirely by hand. Brewed very slowly at low temperature, to produce a complex yet super smooth and indulgent sake for easy drinking, with or without food.

About the Producer

Britain’s first Sake brewery operates out of the unlikely surrounds of Bermondsey, South-East London. Founders Tom and Lucy Wilson were so inspired by what they saw and tasted in Japan that a few years ago they began home-brewing Sake with great success. Thanks to word of mouth and the fantastic quality of what they produced, the hobby expanded to become a commercial operation. Rice is sourced from California and Japan, and traditional Japanese yeasts and Koji are used. The brewery maintains an ongoing dialogue with producers in the supportive Sake community in Japan where their work is gaining recognition. Kanpai Sakes have already begun to win awards and national recognition with a presence in Michelin-starred restaurants. The quality more than matches that of their Japanese counterparts.

Tasting Notes

A bright, fruity and luxurious junmai ginjo sake. Rich notes of lychee and honeydew melon, complimented by sweet undertones of cereal and rice. A satisfying sipper - enjoy at 12C or 20C, paired with seafood, steak and most sweet or savoury dishes.

Delivery

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £125 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.
