Description

Laphroaig’s 18-year-old whisky marks a key moment in the story of Laphroaig. It captures over two centuries of master distillers and blenders who made Laphroaig what it is today. Matured in ex-Bourbon American oak barrels, this single malt combines the distinctive smoky character of Laphroaig with notes of intense vanilla and sweet ripe fruits, alongside signature notes of woody peat smoke coming through on the finish. The 18-year-old single malt is guaranteed to leave its mark and be memorable.

About the Producer

Laphroaig is an iconic Scotch whisky producer renowned for its distinctive, peaty character and rich heritage. Established in 1815 on the Isle of Islay, Laphroaig has long been celebrated for its commitment to traditional methods, including malting barley on-site and using locally sourced water. Known for its bold, smoky flavors with notes of medicinal herbs and sea salt, Laphroaig is a favorite among those who appreciate a complex, robust Scotch.

Tasting Notes

Laphroaig 18 opens with inviting aromas of smoky peat and sweet vanilla, accented by hints of soft toffee and gooseberry. On the palate, it offers a rich tapestry of flavors, including spicy cinnamon and freshly baked apple tart. The whisky's full-bodied fruitiness is beautifully balanced with herbal notes of fresh mint and lingering peaty undertones. The finish is warm and satisfying, leaving a memorable impression of complex sweetness and spice.

How To Enjoy

Laphroaig 18 is best enjoyed neat or with a splash of water to fully appreciate its rich complexity. Its robust flavors make it a perfect match for strong, flavorful dishes such as smoked meats, barbecued ribs, or aged cheeses. It also pairs wonderfully with dark chocolate or a charcuterie board featuring cured meats and olives. For a more refined experience, savor it alongside a well-aged cigar, which complements the whisky’s smoky and spicy notes.
