Lavie Dragon is a blend of 80% Syrah, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot from high-altitude vineyards in the high-altitude Chinese region of Inner Mongolia. A delicious, rich, powerful red laden with dark yet elegant blackberry, damson, espresso and notes of exotic spice. Fine, long mineral tannins. Drink with loin of venison or spice-roasted duck.

"Lewei" is a wine brand based on Inner Mongolian culture and terroir established by Chang Wei, a wine lecturer, and Wang Haoze, a winemaker from Inner Mongolia. Their wines are made at Chateau Ruiwo. The winery is on the north bank of the Yellow River of Toktor County, Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. The latitude of 40°10 'and the altitude of 1050 meters provide cool climate conditions and great luminosity. The sloping land on the north bank of the Yellow River and the Kubuqi desert on the other side of the river provide heat for the vines tempered by the altitude. Coupled with the loose and barren sandy soil and ample sources of fresh mountain water, these are the perfect conditions for growing grapes.
80% Syrah, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon 5% Merlot. The grapes are hand-picked and bunch-sorted. Pump overs give soft and gentle tannins. After fermentation, the wine was aged in old oak barrels for 18 months. A delicious, rich, powerful red laden with dark yet elegant blackberry, damson, espresso and notes of exotic spice. Fine, long mineral tannins. Drink with loin of venison or spice-roasted duck.
