Quartet is Champagne Louis Roederer’s outpost in California’s cool, fog-shrouded Anderson Valley, and is a blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. The winemaking style is based on two elements: 100% Estate grown fruit and the addition of oak-aged reserve wines to each year’s blend. Malolactic fermentation is discouraged and the wine aged for at least 2 years on lees before disgorgement. This is regarded as one of the finest new world traditional method sparklings. Crisp and elegant with complex pear, spice and hazelnut flavours. It is fresh yet layered and complex with great finesse and depth of flavour.
