Description

Viticulture: The estate is at the Southern edge of the Co^tes du Roussillon Appellation, and has complex soils of schist, gneiss and gravel. Vines were first planted here around 1810, and the property today has magnificent holdings of Syrah, Grenache, Roussanne, Marsanne and Muscat. Viticulture is low intervention and now moving towards fully organic.

Winemaking: Grapes are harvested by hand and the wine is fortified in tank with a subsequent ageing in barrels high up in the winery, to promote oxidation, for more than 5 years without any topping up.

Grape Varieties: Grenache Gris, Grenache Blanc, Macabeu, Muscat Petits Grains

Farming Practices: Contains Sulfites

Tasting Notes: A delicious fortified wine with great complexity. Amber in colour, this has wonderful aromas of walnuts, tea, dried, apricot, hints of raisin, fine acidity and a long finish. Sweet, yet with a lightness of touch

Food Match: Ideal served chilled as an aperitif, or with Tarte Tatin, walnuts or blue cheeses

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £125 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.
