Opal Bianca Original White is the newest product from the historic Italian distillery, Fratelli Francoli S.P.A. Founded in 1875 in the town of Ghemme, Piemonte, Fratelli Francoli is still a family-owned business. Initially focused on the production of Grappa, over the decades Fratelli Francoli expanded its portfolio to incorporate a range of liqueurs and spirits while maintaining its artisanal craftsmanship and environmentally conscious production methods.
Following the success of their Opal Nera, an innovative approach to the Sambuca category, Fratelli Francoli S.P.A. launched the Opal Bianca as a sister brand. Opal Bianaca is a return to more traditional Sambuca while sharing the same smooth finish and quality as its sister, Nera. The primary ingredient, star anise, is carefully distilled to extract its natural essential oils, which form the spirit’s distinctive flavour base. A blend of additional botanicals is then infused to enhance the complexity of the liqueur. The result is a crystal-clear, high-quality spirit with a refined texture and lingering depth.
The flavour and aroma of star anise take the forefront, complemented with delicate floral and herbal undertones to create a Sambuca with exceptional depth and complexity of flavours.
