For several years they researched and ran detailed micro- trials in 10 different sites of the Cimo Corgo sub-region and Tua River sector of the Douro Superior . In 1999, they released their first wines which rapidly won international recognition.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £120 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.

If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us.

Renowned Douro winemakers, Jorge Alves and Celso Peirera were looking for the perfect terroir to express Douro's full character. For several years they researched and ran detailed micro- trials in 10 different sites of the Cimo Corgo sub-region and Tua River sector of the Douro Superior . In 1999, they released their first wines which rapidly won international recognition.

The grapes come from vines growing on granitic soils at 600 meters altitude on the plateau of Alijó.

The wine is matured in 500 litre French oak barrels for a year before bottling.

Grape: Gouverio, Viosinho

Tasting Notes: Powerful rich white overflowing with flavours of honeyed pear and greengage, baking spices and a fine, mineral thread holding everything together on the long finish. An outstandign white which will benefit from decanting.

Food Match: Roast chicken, turbot and mushroom risotto.

An alternative to: Top-level Viognier and Chardonnay.
