Spirit of Hven Alioth is the fifth in the Spirit of Hven Seven Stars series. It is a moderately peated single malt whisky, named after the star Alioth in the asterism Ursa Major (the Plough). The name derives from the Arabic, alyat, meaning “the tail of a sheep” referring to the position in the asterism, and it is the brightest star in the constellation.
Tasting Notes: Aromas of seaweed, distant bonefire, honey, raisins and dried plums. There are clear chocolate notes together with a dry citric scent. Very dry palate, from the fresh oak and mature Oloroso.
