Nose: Pineapple lumps and glacé ginger, cocoa and cigar box. A wonderful entry of aromas! Horlicks, a musky floral note, orange peel, gingerbread, creaming soda and epic fudge with a touch of treacle. All with an olive on top.
Palate: Great body and rolling texture. Loads of biscuity malt, a jammy wave of dark berries conflates with a herbal wave, like vine leaves. Incredibly fudgy, chocolate flavoured. Part way through there's a change toward the fruit: peaches, mango, apricot, and then ruby grapefruit juice.
Finish: Malt biscuits GALORE. Chocolate orange. Stonefruit, grapes, melon and pineapple waves increase toward the end, and then it's a wonderful finish of fennel honey and chocolate fudge.
