The Macallan Art is the Flower is a tribute to creativity, craftsmanship, and the enduring beauty of nature. Inspired by the poetic vision of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his 1902 stained-glass panel The Spirit of the Rose, this limited edition celebrates the circularity of life and the harmony between natural form and artistic expression.
Matured exclusively in sherry-seasoned European oak casks, an homage to Mackintosh’s deep ties with European artistry, this single malt reveals a rich natural colour and an elegant depth of character. Aromas of sun-dried fruits, including fig and raisin, unfold alongside cherry, orange zest, and polished oak, while hints of almond and treacle add indulgent complexity.
On the palate, layers of sweet oak, warm ginger, vanilla, and ripe apple evolve gracefully, complemented by a whisper of tea leaf. The finish is long, rich, and gently spiced, echoing the whisky’s refined structure and layered influence. Presented in packaging that echoes Mackintosh’s distinctive style, Art is the Flower unites whisky mastery with artistic legacy, an evocative collaboration that honours the past while inspiring the future.
