This single malt whisky demonstrates the Whisky Maker's outstanding ability and science in selecting individual wood casks with a distinct and nuanced flavour profile. They were handpicked for maturation by The Macallan Master of Wood and delivered to The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team's rigorous criteria to create Rare Cask. As the whisky maker finds the extraordinary oak casks that contribute the powerful and very complex flavour profile, this exquisite expression shows the magic and science in The Macallan's sophisticated whisky making process. Soft vanilla and raisin aromas lead the way into this single malt whisky, which is followed by a delightful fusion of fresh apple, lemon, and orange. Sweet raisin flavours dominate the palate before giving way to other flavours.
