Ukiyo Japanese Yuzu Gin is made in Kagoshima using a base of barley shochu, which is redistilled with yuzu peel, juniper and local botanicals. The result is a gin that highlights yuzu's sharp, clean flavour, supported by subtle herbal and floral notes. On the palate, the citrus character is immediate and clear, followed by a touch of spice and a smooth, rounded texture from the shochu. The finish is crisp, with the yuzu carrying through. It works well in a classic gin and tonic or as the base for a simple citrus-led cocktail.
