Established in 1782, ‘A.van Wees distillery de Ooievaar’ claims to be the last authentic distillery left in Amsterdam, producing a range of Old Dutch genevers, bitters and liqueurs. Their products are creative compositions made from pure, natural raw materials. The key to Van Wees recipes are the combinations of fruits, flowers, plants, roots and seeds, and the use and knowledge, which has been passed down through generations.

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £120 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.

If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us.

The production techniques and ingredients are second to none, including seven different types of malt-wine which are used in their genevers. Van Wees are probably the only company in the world to commercially distil rose petals, an incredibly time consuming process, but resulting in an exceptionally fine rose liqueur.

Today Fenny Van Wees runs the business with a small loyal crew, preserving a once worldwide famous Dutch cultural inheritance for quality and authenticity in distillation.

Beautiful cinnamon from Sri Lanka is distilled and macerated in order to make this delicate cinnamon liqueur. Rum brandenwijn and various types of honey and sugar force the cinnamon to enlarge its taste.
