Vincent Latour’s Meursault Cuvée St Jean is a 100% Chardonnay from a blend of 3 Meursault climats. It is a full-bodied wine with a golden hue, a rich nose and a balanced, persistent palate.
Since 1792, the Latour family has been producing one of the world's greatest white wines: Meursault. Since taking over his father’s estate in 1998, Vincent Latour’s wines have been highly praised both in Burgundy and further afield. Vincent's wife, Cécile, joined them in 2004, and in 2009 she opened a charming and very comfortable 3 épis Gîte de France gîte with an exceptional view over the Murisaltien vineyards. A new cellar has just been constructed which houses Vincent’s interesting mix of oak casks, as well as to further improve the quality of the wines produced and optimize the team's work.
Latour’s Meursault Cuvée St Jean is an intense, brilliant full-bodied golden Chardonnay which has a rich and deep nose, full of honey and floral aromas. On the palate this wine is balanced and persistent, with notes of hazelnut and acacia flower balanced with spicy, sweet vanilla.
Meursault Cuvée St Jean is best paired with a range of poultry and white meat dishes, as well as with a variety of different seafood.
