Description

Kevin Glastonbury, or ‘KG’ as he is known, knows the Barossa like the back of his hand. His winemaking career began straight after school, and by the time he joined Yalumba in 1999, he had already gained years of experience through hard work, experimentation, and innovation. A hands-on, get-dirty approach has been the key to his success as a winemaker.

About the Producer

Fruit for this wine is sourced from five vineyards across the Barossa, the oldest parcel of Shiraz is gently hand-picked from Eden Valley vines planted in 1854. With an average vine age of 80 years, 67% of this Shiraz is sourced from the Barossa Valley and 33% from Eden Valley. Barossa Valley Shiraz provides richness, density and concentration, while Eden Valley Shiraz provides the exotic aromatics and seamless palate structure.

Matured for 22 months in 28% new French oak barriques and hogsheads, balance in 1 year and older American octaves, French barriques and hogsheads.

Tasting Notes

A very deep purple, red in colour. This wine showcases Shiraz with its’ depth of Barossa Valley and the alluring, aromatic freshness of Eden Valley. Vibrant aromas of dark cherries, anise and red raspberry. A distinctive wine with richness and dark berry, fruit compote palate. Perfectly balanced, elegant and refined. Enjoy with beef fillet, roast beetroot and horseradish, or Korean fried cauliflower.

Delivery

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £125 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.

If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us.
