Goichot has made a top-quality Red Burgundy from a great vintage, with the quality of the 1er Cru Varoilles shining through. Already showing well, this Gevrey Chambertin is a delicious Pinot Noir loaded with spicy, silky damson and dark cherry fruits, with soft, ripe tannins.

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £120 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

Description

Maison André Goichot is a medium-sized Burgundy negociant founded in 1947, and one of the few to remain family-owned and run. They work with purchased fruit alongside over 35 hectares of their own vineyards including Château de la Guiche in Montagny, and Château du Cray in Buxy. The estate owns 2 Monopole vineyards including of Bourgogne Pinot Noir Le Cornevent and Montagny 1er cru Le Cornevent. Today they’re based in a modern facility in the heart of Beaune. The talented Adrien Goichot heads up the winemaking team and has built strong relationships with growers across the region, allowing them to offer a range of appellations. Especially strong in the Cote de Beaune and Cotes Chalonnaise, they offer a range of wines from across the region, notable for their purity of fruit, smart winemaking and tactful use of oak, while retaining balance and freshness.

A great mid-slope location with a southern exposure, near Clos St Jacques: Plantation density: 10 000 vine stocks per hectare. Pruning: Guyot.

First fermentation in stainless steel tank for 15-20 days. Malolactic fermentation in oak barrels (30% new casks),then matured for a further 15-18 months in in barrel
