Cantarutti Pinot Grigio Friuli

Cantarutti Estate is located in the heart of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, one of the most important DOC areas in the region. It is located at Friuli Venezia Giulia, near to San Giovanni al Natisone, a small town in the middle of the Rosazzo Hills.

The Estate was founded in the late sixties when Friulian wines and viticulture were finally gaining an international reputation. It was the long view of Alfieri Cantarutti which convinced him to believe and to invest on these, now famous, hills. Thanks to his enthusiasm and his love for tradition, the Estate increased its size slowly to 56 hectares.

The vineyards and winery are now managed by Alfieri daughter Antonella and her husband Fabrizio. Using sophisticated vinification techniques and using a hands on approach to the vineyards, they produce full flavoured high quality Schioppettino.

Grape Varieties: 100% Pinot Grigio.

Tasting Notes: Copper coloured, rich and luxurious Pinot Grigio! Intense citrus and tropical fruits on the nose and excellent refreshing acidity on the nose, well balanced by persistent ripe citrus flavours. A well made and generous pinot grigio that bucks the trend.
