Description

Blackwater Distillery, based on the south coast of Ireland, is creating limited, innovative Irish Whiskies. The small-scale distillery crafts small batches that are unique in style and character. In the 1970’s Irish Whiskey had largely been redesigned as a blended product, so the flavours that made Irish the world’s whiskey of choice were lost to time. On a journey to rediscover the true characteristics of Irish whiskey, spirits writer and TV producer Peter Mulryan set about on a journey to uncover lost flavours and rediscover the traditional distillation process that makes Irish whiskey so unique – it was a journey back to its roots. Blackwater’s small-scale production allows for meticulous attention to detail. With a double distillation process, and a focus on the source of the flavour, found from the grain, the whiskies are made using 100% Irish malt, raw barley, oats, wheat and rye to retain maximum character and flavour.

Blackwater’s Single Malt, Single Cask Irish Whisky PMD II: Return of the Dragon, is their first aged statement release. Aged 5 years in apple brandy casks and bottled at 59.2% abv, cask strength, only 340 bottles were released. Produced from a grain mashbill of 25% Turf-smoked Malt and 75% Malted Barley, it’s produced from 100% Irish barley, grown and malted on the same farm. A real Irish whisky origin story, featuring a dragon, with a heart of fire and a belly full of smokey stewed apples.

Delivery

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £125 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

Returns

We want all our cusomers to be 100% happy with their order and it is our aim to ensure that all orders are supplied to our customers arrive in perfect condition.
You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.

Excludes perishable or personalised products or those products that have been specified as non-returnable.

If you need to cancel an order you have just placed, you can do so by calling our customer service team on 020 8951 9840 and provide your order confirmation number and name.
If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us.

Shipping charges are non-refundable. We advise you to obtain a postal receipt or send the items back via recorded delivery.
