Cartron has been a family business since 1882, with strong roots in the town of Nuits-Saint-Georges at the heart of Burgundy’s cru vineyards. The soil of this region has been producing high quality fruit for centuries, which for have been used in the production of Burgundy wines, or fruits to produce juices, liqueurs and fruit brandies.
The Gold Imperial variety, one of the most tasty Chinese Black smoked Teas, selected by Joseph Cartron, is made from Lapsang Souchong whole unblemished young leaves, picked late in season, smoked with Spruce then very subtly mixed when drying with Jasmine flowers.
Tasting Note: New, typical and authentic, the very noble Joseph Cartron Black smoked Tea Liqueur is copper colored with powerful Tea notes, slightly tannic; it is an invitation to creativity.
