Description

Domaine Champeau is based in the village of Saint-Andelain and has 20 hectares of vines – the vast majority being Sauvignon Blanc but they also have 1.40 ha of Chasselas for AC Pouilly-sur-Loire.

The domaine was founded in 1942 and is now run by third generation Champeaus - Franck and his brother Guy. The wine is made from Sauvignon grapes on plots located at the highest point of the appellation in St Andelain France.

The soil is worked increasingly by limiting the use of chemicals and the fertilizer used comes from nearby farms. They practice a system of sustainable viticulture to respect the surrounding land.

The ground is silty clay composed of red flint, giving the wine typical peppery spice aromas and fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, at controlled temperatures.

Tasting Notes: Pale gold with greenish tints. Pure, focused fruity nose with subtle mineral notes. Fairly fleshy on the palate, intensely fruity, fresh and harmonious. A good wine to drink in its youth with freshwater fish.

Delivery

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £125 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.

If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us.
