Château Caillou is a beautifully-balanced dessert wine from a leading Sauternes estate. Mainly barrel-aged botrytised Sémillon and a little Sauvignon, this has sweet, tropical fruit, vanilla & barley sugar notes.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £120 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.

If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us.

Description

Château Caillou is located in the region of "Haut-Barsac" with 13 hectares classified as Grand Cru Classé. Its mixture of chalk, clay and red sand soil are ideally suited to the Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown. In the right climatic conditions, sémillon is known for developing the famous botrytis cinerea or "noble rot" which gives these majestic wines of Sauternes their fine sweet taste of honeyed marmalade and spice aromas. Sauvignon adds fresh crispness lending additional citrus lemon and exotic fruit notes. Gold Medal Vignerons Indépendants France 2017.
