Chateau de Beaucastel is one of the greatest estates of Chateauneuf du Pape. While their reputation is principally for their reds, their magnificent rich whites remain benchmarks for the region. This is a Roussanne dominant blend, with a rich, creamy palate, ripe yellow plum, greengage, honeysuckle and hints of nuts.

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £120 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

Description

While the Château de Beaucastel’s history dates back to 1549, the estate’s modern story begins with its purchase by the Perrin family, stalwarts of the Rhône Valley and pioneers in winemaking innovation. Château de Beaucastel was one of the earliest adopters of biodynamic viticulture, gaining certification in 1974, and continues to craft sumptuous wines that reflect a deep respect for the terroir.

Beaucastel’s 110 hectares of vineyards are in one single plot at the North of the appellation. Defined by the archetypal feature of Châteauneuf, galets roules – large pebbles that absorb heat during the day and release it at night, guaranteeing optimum ripening.

Château de Beaucastel has 7 hectares of white varieties, planted on molasse seabed of the Miocene period covered by diluvial alpine deposits (rolled pebbles).

The blend for this wine is Roussanne 80%, Grenache blanc 15%Picardan, Clairette and Bourboulenc 5%.

Handpicked in small cases, followed by a thorough sorting of the grapes, pneumatic pressing, settling of the juice, fermentation (30% in oak barrels, 70% in tanks) for 8 months then bottling after 8 months.
