Château du Breuil, situated in Normandy, produces around 300,000 bottles of Calvados Pays d’Auge each year and is exported to more than 60 countries. The estate, comprising of 42 Hectares, is planted with 22000 apple trees. Up to five varieties of apples are used to create the perfect base and after crushing and fermentation undergoes a double distillation after which it is left to age and mature in French oak casks situated in the Château’s cellars. The unique Normandy climate being mild and humid ensures idyllic conditions for aging. Château du Breuil produces an exceptional range of Calvados of all ages, which have won awards globally. Bottled in a uniquely designed bottle created by Philippe Bizouard, waxed and tied by hand; we are pleased to offer a specially selected bottling from a single cask of Château du Breuil’s Calvados Pays d’Auge 22 YO celebrating 45 years of Amathus. Golden amber hues, with intense aromas of baked apple, spice, dried fruit and vanilla which continue to evolve in the glass unmasking greater complexity for a truly enjoyable and delicious sipping experience.
