Founded in 1867, Contratto was the first winery in Italy to make vintage ‘Metodo Classico’ sparkling wine and in the 1920’s and 1930’s, it was the Contratto bubbles that were requested by the Vatican and the royal houses of Europe.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £120 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.

If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us.

Now owned by family-run business, La Spinetta, they have reintroduced Contratto to the world, whilst continuing to preserve and uphold its 150-year-old traditions and top quality.

The original recipe from the early 19th century for Contratto Vermouth is based on a combination of white wine fortified with Italian brandy and more than 50 delicately infused premium natural herbs, spices, roots and seeds.

This traditional process is again used to create a sophisticated elixir and a complex and well balanced boutique aperitif that will make any Vermouth based cocktail an exceptional experience.
