Corralejo Blanco Tequila is an unaged, 100% Blue Weber agave tequila crafted in the historic Hacienda Corralejo, located in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. Bottled immediately after distillation at 38% ABV, it offers a pure and expressive profile that highlights the vibrant character of fresh agave. This Blanco tequila is produced using only mature Blue Weber agave, which is harvested by hand and slow-cooked in traditional stone ovens. One of Corralejo’s distinctive features is its use of the Charentais distillation method—a technique adapted from cognac production. Unlike the more common column stills used in tequila-making, this double distillation process in copper pot stills allows for greater flavour retention and a smooth, aromatic result.
The finished spirit is crystal clear, showcasing the clean, unaltered essence of agave. On the nose, Corralejo Blanco opens with pronounced aromas of fresh agave, complemented by citrus peel, white pepper, and subtle herbal undertones. The palate is soft and lively, delivering a clean agave core layered with lemon zest, warming spice, and a gentle sweetness. The finish is medium in length, refreshing, and slightly peppery, leaving a crisp and balanced impression.
As a Blanco (unaged) tequila, Corralejo Blanco captures the true identity of the agave plant without influence from oak or ageing, making it a favourite for tequila purists and bartenders alike.
