Description

Domaine Courbet was founded in 1896 and consists of just 7.5 hectares, half of which are in the prestigious Château Chalon appellation, source of the Jura's finest wines. Damien Courbet is surely a big star of the future – since taking over from his father Jean-Marie he has started working biodynamically, making small quantities of immaculate wines in a fine elegant style, very focused on terroir, with a technical yet light touch approach to his winemaking that brings out the maximum expression of the region and its varieties. The wines avoid rusticity while being true to their origins.

The Chardonnay Les Isles is produced from a 0.6 hectare plot of vines planted in 1973 on the gentle southwest-facing foothills of the Revermont Jurassien on clay-limestone soils from the Jurassic period. Vines are trained to simple guyot and the vineyard cultivated biodynamically, with herbal teas and the various biodynamic preparations in use. Fermentation in French oak barrels is followed by 24 months ageing, topped up along the way.

Delivery

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £125 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us.
