Description

Domaine Courbet was founded in 1896 and consists of just 7.5 hectares, half of which are in the prestigious Château Chalon appellation, source of the Jura's finest wines. Damien Courbet is surely a big star of the future – since taking over from his father Jean-Marie he has started working biodynamically, making small quantities of immaculate wines in a fine elegant style, very focused on terroir, with a technical yet light touch approach to his winemaking that brings out the maximum expression of the region and its varieties. The wines avoid rusticity while being true to their origins. 75% Chardonnay, 25% Savagnin. “Tradition” often refers to a mini-Vin Jaune, without the ageing or price tag, and often a blend of the two white varieties. The Savagnin is from clay-limestone, the Chardonnay from chalk soils. The Chardonnay is fermented and aged in topped up barrels, the Savagnin fermented in tank, then aged “sous-voile” in barrel. This is rich yet precise with lovely honeyed stonefruits, almond and spices. Fine, salty long, and well balanced.

Delivery

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £125 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

Returns

We want all our cusomers to be 100% happy with their order and it is our aim to ensure that all orders are supplied to our customers arrive in perfect condition.
You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.

Excludes perishable or personalised products or those products that have been specified as non-returnable.

If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us.
