Description

Domaine Gueguen is widely regarded as an up and coming star of the region. Céline and Frédéric Gueguen both worked for large wine estates in Chablis for 15 years before setting up their own domaine which today consists of 35 parcels of vines spread across 23 hectares. The winery was established in 2013 in the hamlet of Préhy, just 7 km South-West of Chablis itself.

The region of Chablis rests on distinctive Kimmeridian soil dating back to the Jurassic ages. The vines for this wine are located in the villages of Chichée and Préhy on clay-limestone soil. Céline and Frédéric use organic practices in the vineyard, tending each vine by hand and working with low yields to drive quality and concentration.

The juice is extracted by direct pressing, followed by cold settling. The alcoholic and malolactic fermentations occur at a controlled temperature of 16 to 18 degrees in tank. The wine is then aged on fine lees for a year with light fining and filtration before bottling.

Tasting Notes

Graceful, elegant white with notes of citrus and hawthorn moving to broader hints of yellow plum. Excellent weight and concentration for this level, finishing dry with stony minerality.

Delivery

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £125 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.
