A brilliant Grüner Veltliner from FX Pichler, perhaps the greatest winery of Austria. The terraced Steinertal vineyard at the east of the Wachau produces wines combining intensity with laser-like precision.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £120 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

Description

FX Pichler is regarded as perhaps the greatest producer of Austria. This brilliant winery is located in the banks of the Danube, with the long glass windows of the elevated tasting room looking back across the precipitous slopes that are the source of many of Austrian finest wines, including these. Rudi Pichler makes a range of wines from different vineyard sites along this stretch of the Danube. The Steinertal vineyard is located at the eastern end of this sector of the Danube, and consists of terraces on deep gneiss deposits. The wines from here combine intensity with laser-like precision. This is aged in large old oak before release which adds further depth to the crystalline fruit.
