Founded in 1989, the Fess Parker winery is located in Santa Barbara County, the Californian wine region made famous by the cult movie Sideways.
Just 90 minutes north of LA, Santa Barbara County is one of California’s most diverse viticultural regions. Sta. Rita Hills, in particular, is arguably the most exciting wine region in the world for making cool climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir right now.
Grape Varieties: 66% Syrah, 18% Petite Sirah and 16% Grenache.
Tasting Notes: Notes of blackberry, blueberry, pepper, BBQ spices, herb de provence, floral/violet, sage and vanilla are found on the nose along with flavours of blueberry, boysenberry, black plum, dark chocolate, grilled meat with a touch of oak on the palate.
