Tasting Notes

The rum presents a deep amber hue, indicating its rich, ageing process. The aroma is intensely fruity, with notes of overripe banana, pineapple, and mango, complemented by hints of vanilla bean and a subtle ester-driven funk. On the palate, it offers a complex profile with flavours of tropical fruits, including jackfruit and sour red grapes, balanced by underlying spices and a touch of oak. The finish is long and warming, with lingering notes of cola spice, orange rind, and a faint medicinal character, characteristic of Hampden’s distinctive style.
