One of the first craft distilleries to introduce a whiskey that is Bottle in Bond, regarded as the pinnacle of American whiskey. American whiskeys (and some brandies) that are totally distilled, aged, and bottled at one distillery, from barrels filled in one season, by one distiller, are known as "bottled-in-bond" products. The whiskey also needs to be four years aged and bottled at exactly 100 percent. This served as a safeguard against brands that were just bottling whiskey from other distilleries and combining or adulterating it in the past. Bottled-in-bond best captures the benefits we experience from producing all of theri whiskey in-house, from grain to bottle, in an era where consumers still occasionally struggle to understand exactly where their whiskeys actually come from.
