Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £120 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.

If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us.

The cooperation, Bondesamvirket Løiten Brænderi, was established in 1855 and the distillery was made fully operational on the 15th January 1856. It came about because of the government’s increasingly stricter regulations in regards to distilling, as well as, higher production demands and the prohibition of distilling at home.

The farmers on Løiten, not to mention the average consumer in the capital Christiania, demanded their bottles with liquor. Initially the liquor agents, Larsen and Poulsen, represented the cooperation in the capital, and they eventually established their own distillery with a wholesale outlet in Christiania.

In 1874, they opened Løiten Brænderis Distillation in Oslo. The recipes that were developed then are still used today.

Loitens Export is a Norwegian aquavit which spends 3 to 5 months in oak casks before it's bottled. Works particularly well as an aperitif or perhaps alongside an appetizer of cured meats.
