Description

Luxardo Sambuca Pomegranate Liqueur is a contemporary take on the classic Italian aniseed digestif, crafted by Luxardo—a seventh-generation family-owned producer known for its commitment to traditional methods. The base is Luxardo’s original Sambuca, made with green Sicilian aniseed and elderberries from Padua, then distilled and matured in Finnish wood vats to enhance smoothness and complexity.

About the Producer

What distinguishes this version is the infusion of natural pomegranate juice, lending a vivid ruby-red hue and a fresh, tangy character. Aromas of star anise and liquorice are complemented by bright red fruit notes, with the pomegranate softening the intensity of the herbal profile. On the palate, it delivers a balanced mix of sweet, tart, and spicy flavours, finishing with a clean, fruity lift.

Tasting Notes

Versatile and eye-catching, this liqueur can be enjoyed neat, over ice, or in layered cocktails. Its bold flavour and colour make it ideal for modern mixology, while still rooted in authentic Italian tradition. Pairs well with dark chocolate desserts for a refined contrast of flavours.
