Situated on the northern edge of South Africa’s Swartland region, Org de Rac is a pioneering estate dedicated to certified organic viticulture. Established in 2000, the estate embraces sustainable practices, eschewing synthetic chemicals in favour of natural composts and biological pest control. Their commitment to minimal intervention extends from vineyard to cellar, resulting in wines that authentically express their unique terroir.
This wine presents a vibrant bouquet of red berries, cherry, and plum, interwoven with hints of white pepper and cinnamon. On the palate, it offers a juicy and moreish mouthfeel, with ripe fruit flavours complemented by a savory earthiness. A fresh salinity adds a distinctive touch to the long, lingering finish.
This versatile red pairs beautifully with grilled meats, hearty stews, and aged cheeses. Its balanced structure and vibrant fruit make it an excellent companion to dishes like lamb chops, mushroom risotto, or roasted vegetables.
