Crafted in Athens, enjoyed under the sun!
In 1840, the philhellene King Otto, decided to move the capital of Greece into Athens. Under the shade of the Acropolis, in the cobblestone streets of the old city of Plaka, King Otto laid down the foundations for the new Athens. It was here that Ioannis Vouher created the first Greek vermouth by appointment to King Otto, honouring an ancient Greek tradition and celebrating a new era.
A few steps away from Otto’s house, on the upper floor of a neoclassical building under the buzz of one of the top 50 bars in the world (The Clumsies), award winning bartenders Nikos Bakoulis and Vasilis Kyritsis, together with a passionate team revived the great times of Athens vermouth and crafted the first bottle of Otto’s Athens Vermouth.
Tasting Notes: Slightly bitter with fresh rose petal, citric and vanilla tones. Balanced sweetness with a lemon and orange freshness in the mouth.
Awards: San Francisco World Spirits Competition - Silver Medal.
