Leading St Emilion Chateau Pavie-Macquin is managed by the influental Nicolas Thienpont and Stephane Derenoncourt, making it no surprise that this is becoming one of the top performing properties of the right bank. Based on Merlot, this is a full bodied, deep red Bordeaux packed with dark berries, the concentrated palate balanced by a freshness which gives vitality and lift.
