Description

Penley Estate was born from the marriage of two of South Australia's pioneering wine families, the Penfolds and the Tolleys. Established in the mid 1980s from a few hectares of vines in the famous Coonawarra region, the estate shot to prominence in 1989 when Phoenix Cabernet Sauvignon won Gold at the prestigious Adelaide Wine Show. Today, the estate has grown significantly to over 80 hectares of vines and a state of the art winery, run by 5th generation family members, sisters Ang & Bec Tolley. With winemaker Kate Goodman, they have revitalised the estate and created a new style of Coonawarra wine: softer and more elegant than the region has historically produced.

Penley have been experimenting with this variety for a few years and now it’s finally released as a permanent line, which matches the winery’s current ethos of moving towards fresher styles of wine.

30% whole bunches are used, and no oak. Youthful, vibrant and bursting with slippery medium-weight juicy violet and blackberry fruits, with a hint of meaty spice and soft chalky tannins holding it all together. Great on its own, slightly chilled and with charcuterie or middle-eastern barbequed meats.

Delivery

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £125 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

Returns

We want all our cusomers to be 100% happy with their order and it is our aim to ensure that all orders are supplied to our customers arrive in perfect condition.
You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.

Excludes perishable or personalised products or those products that have been specified as non-returnable.

If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us.

Shipping charges are non-refundable. We advise you to obtain a postal receipt or send the items back via recorded delivery.
