Pinard Brothers hail from a long lineage of vignerons in Bué, deeply rooted in sustainable and biodynamic farming methods. The Échos cuvée is crafted exclusively from organically tended vineyards in Amigny, where vines thrive on steep slopes with rocky, mineral-rich soils. Winemaking is kept deliberately hands-off, with fermentation occurring naturally using indigenous yeasts. The wine then matures in large, neutral oak vats, preserving its freshness and highlighting its inherent minerality without overt oak influence.
Échos offers an inviting nose filled with zesty lemon peel, crushed green apple, and subtle hints of fresh herbs and white blossoms. The palate is lively and well-structured, displaying flavours of lime, quince, and wet stone, supported by vibrant acidity and a textured mineral backbone. The finish is crisp and lingering, delivering a clean, pure expression of Sancerre’s distinctive terroir.
This wine’s brisk acidity and mineral drive make it an excellent partner for shellfish like oysters and clams, fresh goat cheese, or simply grilled vegetables dressed with herbs. It also pairs well with dishes featuring a citrus element or herbal seasoning, making it a versatile choice for light and fresh cuisine.
