Domaine Joseph Pascal, established in the early 20th century, is a family-run estate located in Puligny-Montrachet. Currently managed by the fourth generation, Alexandra and Yann Pascal, the domaine spans 15 hectares across Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, encompassing vineyards in Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, Auxey-Duresses, and Volnay. The estate practices sustainable viticulture with minimal intervention during the winemaking process. All wines are barrel-fermented and aged on fine lees for approximately 12 months, with 20% new oak used sparingly to enhance complexity without overpowering the fruit. This approach results in wines that are both refined and expressive of their origins.
This Puligny-Montrachet Blanc presents a bright golden-yellow hue. The nose is expressive, offering aromas of lime blossom, yuzu, and subtle oak spice. On the palate, the wine is balanced and precise, with flavours of lemon, apple, and a mineral edge. The finish lingers with a hint of spice, reflecting the wine's complexity and finesse.
This Puligny-Montrachet Blanc pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes. Its crisp acidity and minerality complement seafood such as lobster and shellfish, while its subtle richness enhances creamy dishes like foie gras. The wine's balance also makes it an excellent match for poultry dishes and mild cheeses.
