Roku Gin celebrates Japan’s four distinct seasons and the artistry of Japanese craftsmanship. Produced by Suntory, one of Japan’s most renowned distillers, it combines six signature Japanese botanicals with traditional gin ingredients, including juniper berries, coriander seeds, angelica root, and orris root. The Japanese botanicals—sakura flower and leaf, sencha tea, gyokuro tea, sansho pepper, and yuzu peel—are carefully harvested by hand at their peak to ensure maximum aromatic impact and purity.
The spirit is distilled in small batches in a traditional pot still at Suntory’s distillery located in Osaka. Each botanical is steeped separately before distillation, allowing the unique flavours to develop individually before being blended harmoniously in the final spirit. This meticulous process yields a gin that is remarkably smooth, complex, yet light and refreshing.
On the nose, Roku Gin offers a delicate bouquet of cherry blossom and fresh citrus with subtle green tea undertones. The palate reveals vibrant notes of yuzu and sansho pepper balanced by the warm spice of juniper and coriander. The finish is crisp and clean with a lingering floral and citrus brightness that invites another sip. Roku Gin’s elegant balance and uniquely Japanese character make it exceptionally versatile. It pairs beautifully with tonic water and a slice of yuzu or lemon for a refined G&T.
