Scapegrace Vanguard is a New Zealand single malt whisky that captures the essence of its origin. Distilled from locally grown New Zealand Laureate barley and matured in virgin French oak casks, it offers a rich and elegant profile. The nose reveals floral malt and honey, leading to stewed orchard fruits and spiced apple crumble. Sweet notes of poached pears and vanilla cream emerge on the palate, complemented by anise, grassy malt, honeyed banana chips, and a peppery warmth. The finish is marked by floral spiced tea and honey, with undertones of liquorice, cinnamon, and peppercorns.
