Christos Taralas is one of the most exciting producers in the Northern Greek region of Naoussa. His organic Xinomavro rosé just sees an hour of skin contact giving it a lovely pale salmon hue. Dry and fresh but with ample texture and interest, this is equally at home alone or with food. Subtle notes of nectarine, cherry and savoury spice. A whisper of tannin and a hint of salinity.

Description

The Taralas family have had an important role to play in Greek wine production, establishing a vine nursery in the late 1920s, which was one of the only sources of grafted vines and thus instrumental in driving the recovery of the Greek vineyards from the Phylloxera outbreak of 1935. Today young Christos Taralas runs this 10 hectare organic estate in Naoussa, mostly populated with low yielding 40 year old Xinomavro vines located in the foothills of eastern Vermio at an altitude of 300 metres, above sea level. The yield is about 7000 kg per hectare and organic sprays such as zeolite, dolomite and other minerals, as well as mixtures of nettle and other wild herbs and plants are used. This small estate is quickly becoming recognised as one of the region’s most exciting up and coming producers

Delivery

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £125 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.
