The English Distillery of Norfolk – formerly St George’s Distillery – has produced a limited-batch, triple-distilled, heavily peated whisky, offered at cask strength and limited to 246 bottles. Campfire embers, sooty smoke and creamy American oak influence combine to form a remarkably smooth, characterful dram.

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £120 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.

If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us.

Description

The English Distillery’s founding in 2006 kickstarted the new wave of English whisky production, quickly establishing a premium spirit category now respected all over the world. In addition to its core range, the distillery frequently releases unusual single cask bottlings intended for the enthusiast or collector – among them, this peated, triple-distilled whisky.

Tasting Notes

The triple distillation, usually seen more in Irish whiskies than their Scottish counterparts, results in a smoother, creamier spirit base with distinctly malty flavours. Matured for eight years in American oak barrels, this whisky is offered at a natural cask strength of 57.4% ABV. On the nose, campfire embers and smoky bacon combine with warm vanilla and smooth apple fruit. The triple distillation ensures that the whisky is still remarkably smooth despite its high strength.
