Glenturret’s history dates back to 1763, making it Scotland’s oldest distillery still in operation today. It now produces a wide variety of Highland whiskies, both peated and unpeated, as well as gin, and is the only Scotch whisky distillery to have a Michelin-star restaurant on its premises. The 2023 release of Glenturret’s ultra-premium 30-year-old is offered at a strength of 42.7%, in a very limited run of 500 bottles. Glenturret’s partnership with glassware and jewellery house Lalique ensures that this whisky is impeccably presented in a carefully crafted glass bottle and wooden box.
This whisky is remarkably elegant given its age, yet does not eschew the requisite depth and complexity. Notes of apricot, sandalwood and dried red fruit give way to a mouth-filling palate with flavours of ginger biscuit and a warming, oaked finish. Savour neat for a truly luxurious experience.
